Exclamation Alternitive Games to GuildWars?

Welp, the Card I have would make it very hard to play Guild Wars (I think) so I need to find a game that doesent charge/much to play. NO RUNESCAPE. I've played that for 4 years..

Incase your wondering, I have a: Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV card. My computer is a Dimension 2350 (Dell)

It would mean the world to me if I could find out if guildwars would work. If not..

Also any other games like guild wars, with military, or police traces that does not coast much money per month?

you could just save up for a new graphx card, doesnt even need to be a good one, my old geoforce2 could run it just fine.

but if you want a new MMO, the best iv'e ever played is City of Villains/heroes, albeit for 15$ a month...

You can get a graphics card capable of running Guild Wars for less than the cost of a new game, although if voiding the warranty on your machine is an option, I would go with the new game.

Diablo 2, really similar to Guild Wars.

I'd say dofus. www.dofus.com I started to play it when i was bored of GW 5 months ago, and i still play it ^^.

Really no good video card is required, tactical MMORPG (like final fantasy tactics for example) with a lot of classes and jobs.
It costs only 5 euros a months (probably 5-6 dollars in the US).
You can really hate the game however, as the graphs are in 2D only for exemple, so you can try to play it for free for an unlimited time. Keep in mind that the free to play area and possibilities really suck, and and is full of noobs spammers who doesn't represent the entire community but you can have an idea of what the game look like ^^

I keep wondering when other companies will follow in the way of guild wars and offer free to play games. Until they do, this is the only online game for me. I already bought the game, I shouldnt have to pay to play it.

Hmm, got a good amount of games for you to choose on. I'll mark ones that may cause problems with an (!), which is graphics hungry for your PC/Laptop.

NO Internet fees/month per account/character

Titan Quest (!)
Diablo II + LoD
Sacred Gold (!) *May cause some problems on high settings
NFS: Most Wanted (Not tried it online, but I heard it's good) (!)

Singleplayer only

Tomb Raider: Legend (!) *Only with Next-gen on
TESIV: Oblivion (!)
Taito Legends series (works on ANY computer, but one disc per installation on PC)

Pay Per Month games

Anarchy Online
World of Warcraft (!)

...Those are my choices

Starcraft and Broodwar. 2D ftw
There is a reason for this statement :
"Starcraft is not a game. It is a religion"

PS : Oh, Omega. You recommended Elvenwood some games that will burn his computer for sure. NFS : Most Wanted and Oblivion require much higher PC system to play than GW. And he must find a new game because his PC can't run GW, not because GW is bad

linhih, I know that they may be unable to run properly, but if they could afford to upgrade the graphics card or buy a new system, then those games could work. If money's no object I'd say a 7-series nvidia with the games I mentioned with a (!) on it

Um.... Didn't I mention most downloadable DOSBOX games as well?
